The Bend Stiffener Connector (BSC) is a field-proven system to facilitate “diverless” connection of Umbilical and Flow line bend stiffeners to an I-tube or J-tube. Over 100 Bend Stiffener Connectors have been supplied by DTI for projects in GoM, West Africa, Brazil and South East Asia.

The BSC consists of a funnel assembly pre-installed on the I-tube and a shaft assembly secured to the bend stiffener. The shaft assembly is pulled into the funnel assembly and is auto-latched to the funnel assembly with the spring loaded dogs in the latching mechanism on the funnel assembly.
